Dr. Richard Tilbury is the proprietor and Principal Consultant of RTA, founded in 1992.

He has a wealth of experience in the human resources sector and has helped hundreds of people to get jobs. Richard has worked for leading companies providing outplacement services to a range of organisations and has an excellent track record as a 'headhunter'. His early career as a research scientist in microbiology and line manager in 4 blue-chip companies included working in 5 continents. This variety has provided him with relevant expertise and experience in all aspects of the recruitment process:-

• 12 years as a senior HR Manager of up to 250 people (Tate & Lyle and Smith & Nephew).
• 3 years as an Associate Consultant with Coutts Career Consultants, the UK’s premier Outplacement and Career Counselling company (now Right Management).
• Managed major redundancy programmes (downsizing, site closure, relocation).
• 17 years experience as a self-employed career counsellor/outplacement specialist.
• 14 years experience as a 'headhunter' with over 80 successful searches for clients across Europe (CPL executive Search).
• Personal experience of redundancy, benefitting from Coutts Senior Management Programme.
• Member of The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD).
